I've always loved Matrioska Russian Dolls. They satisfy my fascination with multiple things contained within one unit, plus their beautiful colors and smooth wood interiors always felt so special to me. When I began researching inspiration for Fall Winter 2011, this wonderful post about Russian Vogue's 10 year anniversary came up. How gorgeous are these?!
No beautiful images to post yet, but I had to tell you about our photo shoot on Monday. I'm so excited to be working with Helen Berkun, Billy Rood, Valentine Kopjo, Rue and Jessica. It's hard to believe but this is our first photo shoot in a while. Shoots are always so much fun! I'll keep you posted as I prep... a little confession - we're still sewing some last minute samples! Yikes! But believe they're worth it. I'm in love with this new smaller and more refined knitwear collection. Can't wait to share!
I'm a Chicago based women's wear designer focused on sustainable materials. My business began as an S-Corp in 2005 and each day has been interesting since! This blog was initially born out of my struggles with financing. Hopefully others can learn from and share in the craziness that is starting your own small business.
